Kerne Cottage is situated at Kerne Bridge, near Ross-on-Wye Herefordshire, a small hillside hamlet in the heart of the Wye Valley, and right on the Wye Valley Walk.

The local cliffs at Symonds Yat are famed for their native Peregrine Falcons; walks among the hills with stunning views from the top; and not forgetting the River Wye itself. The area attracts walkers thanks to the many beautiful and varied pathways across the Wye Valley, fishermen, canoeists, cyclists and lovers of the countryside.

Other attractions include Raglan Castle, Goodrich Castle, Tintern Abbey, golf, off-road driving, climbing, rope courses, orienteering, caving and clay pigeon shooting. For the antique hunters and book browsers, there are the ancient towns of Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Monmouth, and the worlds biggest book shop, Hay-on-Wye!

A short walk away from the cottage, are a number of pubs with fine restaurant facilities using local produce, and selling a wide variety of local real ales and ciders.

Kerne Cottage also offers easy access to some of the most spectacular coutryside in the UK including the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons, the Forest of Dean and the Golden Valley.
